Here’s the latest - Holy Week Geography! I had wanted to make up a map based tour for you, but didn’t know what to do - so I asked around on the internet, and someone very kindly led me to a few very good sites!

Task: I would like you to study the Google Map, and post a comment here with three things that you have noticed. There are no three things in mind that I am “fishing” for - I just want you to reflect on the last journeys that Jesus made in his life on earth. For example, I have noticed that Jesus must have travelled about 3.5km or so between being arrested and being crucified. What things catch your eye?

Homework due on Monday 21 April.

You have an assessment the week you arrive back from the holidays. It is on Jesus of the Gospels. Your homework is therefore to revise. Over the holidays, I am going to add more helpful notes and tasks, including links to helpful websites, and tasks for you to complete as comments on this blog. I might also add competitions, podcasts and vokis - watch this space!

Unfortunately I missed all the 9A lessons and most of the 9G lessons this week because I was unwell. Expect a larger piece of homework next week! I apologise for missing two weeks in a row. I hope you have used your homework time to check out the useful webpages section, and to revise for your SATs!

No homework over the long Easter weekend. I hope you had a good Easter thinking about Jesus of the Gospels.

Have you heard the news? Tonight, on BBC 1, you can see what Jesus has been getting up to recently. He entered Jerusalem today, surrounded by a crowd of people waving palm branches and shouting Hosanna. The authorities don’t look too happy … watch this space! I’ll be updating you on the situation when I can …
